Technical Sales Representative Alberta (Calgary or Edmonton preferred) Base Salary + Bonus + Profit Sharing + Benefits Building Materials Manufacturer
Are you passionate about the construction industry and have a knack for technical sales? We are seeking a dynamic and driven Technical Sales Representative with expertise in truss design to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading company that provides innovative solutions in truss design, panelization, floor systems, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at truss manufacturing facilities and lumberyards.
Sell and promote software solutions that enhance truss design, panelization, and floor system processes.
Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase the benefits of our software solutions.
Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to clients.
Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Required Qualifications:
Technical background with a qualification in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
Experience as a Truss Designer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of truss design and familiarity with Industry Foundation Class (IFC) files.
Proven track record in solution sales, preferably within the truss or engineered wood products (EWP) sector.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an outgoing personality.
Strong drive and ambition to achieve sales targets and grow the business.
Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in selling to decision-makers at truss manufacturing facilities or lumberyards.
