Key Responsibilities: In collaboration with Ownership and Department Heads, drive store performance to achieve sales goals, profit targets, high-level customer satisfaction, employee retention, and engage in community involvement. Bring a creative approach to leading, and managing a talented team and contribute to the success of the business. Oversee front line service to ensure alignment to the corporate vision. Hire, train, schedule and mentor a team of 14+ employees. Handle performance appraisals, employee development and HR functions. Oversee inventory management including purchasing, merchandising and inventory control. Participate in all marketing efforts including social media, website, community involvement/events and networking activities.

The Ideal Candidate: Strong leadership and team management skills 7+ years in a leadership role with a focus on customer service and operational excellence. Proven results-oriented leader with Profit & Loss accountability and using performance metrics to drive success. Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to drive business growth. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Commitment to health and safety standards. Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong planning, organization and collaboration skills. Ability to multi-task, delegate effectively and think outside the box. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), and point-of-sale systems in a retail setting. Merchandising, inventory management and marketing experience highly preferred. Lumberyard or building supply experience an asset but not required.

THE SCOPE: Reporting to the Sales Director, this position is a key leadership role where customers gain their first and last impression of Forma Steel. The Inside Sales Team works closely with a distribution channel, managing customer relationships, handling inquiries, product knowledge, RFQs, technical support, closing the sale and ensuring accurate information is provided to internal and external customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage day-to-day activities of Inside Sales Team Set weekly, monthly and annual goals Measure and evaluate performance of team members Implement training including software, customer conflict resolution, time management, product knowledge etc. Ensure software tools are optimized for high-level of accuracy and record keeping Encourage teamwork and promote cross training Support high-level communication within the team and with other departments Troubleshoot, provide effective solutions, and collaborate with internal teams Support Outside Sales Team and business development Develop and monitor standards of performance for the sales team including planning, setting/achieving goals, technical knowledge, software training, communication etc. Analysis of sales activities in collaboration with Sales Director Enhance performance of inside sales team through mentoring, motivating, coaching, training and continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS: Experience in a sales leadership role in building materials or industrial sales environment, preferred. Post-secondary education in Business Administration/Marketing or other related field, preferred. Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on sales processes. Proven ability to mentor, train and develop skills of inside sales team. Possess entrepreneurial attitude with high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability. High level of customer service to internal and external customers. Proven ability and skilled in negotiations, conflict resolution and people management. Excellent communication skills, verbally and written with the ability to clearly articulate ideas. Work well in a fast-paced environment.
