About the Role

The Contractor Sales Associate provides prompt, courteous and efficient sales & service to contractors/customers, asking questions to determine the contractor’s/customer’s needs and then matching products to meet their needs; preparing quotations and working with Logistics to coordinate shipment of product and processing invoices for payment.

What We Need From You

• Hardware, Lumber & Building materials industry knowledge 2-3 years customer service experience
• Above & beyond customer service attitude
• Strong sales skills
• Willing to learn and keep up-to-date on product knowledge
• Able to work weekends

Nice to Have Experience

• 3-5 years contract sales experience
• Knowledge of current industry trends and pricing, local building codes
• POS system experience or other computer database systems & computer literate
• Sales training and or education

Central to the evolution of the business, they are creating Regional Sales Manager positions to lead the three key regions across their business; British Columbia, Alberta and Central (Manitoba / Saskatchewan).

The Role

These Regional Sales Managers will play a key role in developing a more structured sales process for their respective regions.

Working closely with operations but leading sales and accountable for top line revenue, these sales leaders will develop regional sales strategy, work with sales representatives to improve their planning and sales process skills, build key account plans and work with customers to deepen commercial relationships, review current sales activities, define best practice, provide training and development for the sales team, lead sales meetings and contribute to national sales meetings. Regional Sales Managers work closely with the Regional General Managers to determine addressable market and build sales budgets, provide sales forecasting and market information to the rest of the business, collaborate with other Regional Sales Managers to evolve the business's sales structure including technology and process.

The ideal candidate

We are looking for a sales professional that has been exposed to a successful and established sales process. We need someone who understands the value of people and relaizes that to maximize the performance of a sales team there needs to be a succesful sales process to follow, clear goals and objectives, effective measurement and follow up, and a team held accountable for performance. We do not want someone that manages by numbers but rather leads with structure and accountability a key tool in thier tool box. Building materials experience would be an advantage but not essential. More important is the experience of exposure to a structured sales process and your own leadership style.

The Lumberyard Associate is responsible for maintaining customer service per company standards, the accurate and efficient loading and unloading of all lumberyard related transactions. Additionally, the Lumberyard Associates are responsible for maintaining the appearance of the yard and racks in an orderly and clean manner. They will consistently demonstrate the highest level of ethical conduct when dealing with customers, team members and management. Under the supervision of the Lumber Yard Supervisor, the duties and responsibilities of the Lumber Yard Associate include, but are not limited to, the following: Acknowledge all customers in the yard; Assist customers with loading of lumber and other various building materials; Displays good judgment when making decisions and solving problems-always considering what is best for the customer; Cooperate with others and work well as part of a team, for example actively participate in meetings, share ideas for improvement with management; Restock lumber and building materials as needed, while communicating restock needs with the appropriate person; Share information with others to help all associates learn and develop yard procedures and customer service skills; Assist with the unloading of incoming freight; Puts others needs and concerns ahead of their own when necessary or appropriate. Owns the problem-takes responsibility and action when necessary; Displays positive use of body language, verbal, and written communication when talking with customers, team members and management; Learn and adhere to all safety rules and regulations when operating saws, forklifts and other equipment; and Maintains a safe and clean work environment and demonstrates the upmost in safety around customers and other employees. The Contractor Sales Associate assists the Contractor Sales Manager with all contractor-related sales. They will be a critical part of the Contractor Sales team in helping reach sales quotas and ensuring contractors are satisfied. Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Floor Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Contractor Sales Associate include, but are not limited to, the following: Resolve issues related to contractor sales; · Maintain a strong level of knowledge and understanding of the needs of the business (short and long-term objectives and goals) in order to align solutions to meeting these needs; Provide support for order fulfillment for contractors; Review, adjust and approve orders for fulfillment; Assist in developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to increase sales; Help ensure the sales team operates in an efficient and profitable manner, ensuring all budgetary guidelines are adhered to; Assist in running sales reports and communicate information to senior management; Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Delivery Truck Helper - Regina and Saskatoon

Job description

We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our team as delivery truck helperThe Ultimate Deck Shop is a building materials supplier for the outdoors, primarily decks, fences, pergolas. You would assist with loading and unloading the delivery trucks, helping the drivers with finding delivery locations, and reporting all delivery related problems to the supervisor. You will also be required to help with order picking/staging, and assist in the warehouse and lumberyard as needed. You would also be responsible for ensuring the delivery trucks are kept clean and tidy. Previous experience with lumber and building materials would be considered an asset, but not a requirement. Knowledge of Regina and the surrounding area would be an asset as well.
