About the Company We are a Whitehorse Yukon based prefab construction company. We build residential projects ranging from custom and spec homes to multi-family town house developments. We have contracts around Yukon in many different communities.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning and design to implementation and completion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction industry, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
-Oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning and design to implementation and completion.
-Develop project plans and schedules and manage project budgets.
-Ensure that all construction work is completed to the required quality standards, and that all materials and equipment follow project specifications.
-Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, and provide regular updates on project progress and issues.
-Supervise and motivate project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and other workers on site.
-Identify and mitigate risks and issues that could impact project timelines, budgets, or quality.
-Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
-Review and approve project designs and specifications and make recommendations for improvements.
-Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality and address any issues that arise.
-Manage change requests and scope creep and adjust project plans and budgets as needed.
-Develop and implement process improvements to enhance project management and delivery.
-Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
-5+ years of experience in construction management (Commercial/Residential) with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
-Strong project management skills, with experience developing and managing project plans, budgets, and schedules.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams and build relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
-Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment, as well as safety regulations and procedures.
-Proficiency in project management software, such as Builder trend or Contractor Foreman would be an asset.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
-Ability to adapt to change and problem-solve quickly and effectively.
