Job Description:

ZyTech is looking for a Stair Builder for our location in Airdrie, AB. Are you in search of a team, that values the skills you bring to work, and refuses to compromise on your safety? RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build Stair orders as per standard operating procedures or as dictated by Supervisor.

Prior to building, scrutinize and thoroughly understand Stair design layouts.

Inspect and/or measure precut lumber for length and possible damage or irregularities associated with quality control and standard operating procedures.

Upon completing a Stair (order), the Stair Assembler will proceed to build subsequent orders or report to the Stair Supervisor for further instructions.

Thorough and complete organization of tools, materials and workstation and the cleaning and/or disposal of waste is required at all times.

Regular inspection and maintenance as required for tools and machinery and report any problems or irregularities to the Supervisor.

Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor(s) Adhere to ZyTech’s safety, quality assurance and standard operating procedures and policies.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of three years’ experience with shipping and receiving in a manufacturing setting.

Physically able to lift up to 50lbs throughout the day.

Experience accurately operating power/air tools, use an imperial tape measure, and have basic math skills.

The comprehension of technical layout design for Stairs.

Steel-toed work boots and appropriate clothing to work outside are required.

Ability to read, write and understand English.
